Join SolLuna

A boutique, EMDR, trauma-focused practice in Charlotte, NC.

SolLuna is a growing therapy practice for thoughtful clinicians who want to do meaningful clinical work without having to build every part of a private practice on their own.

The practice is rooted in trauma-focused care, with a particular focus on anxiety, relational trauma, perfectionism, self-worth, and relationship patterns. Our clients are often high-achieving women who are used to holding everything together and are ready for something to feel different.

I’m building SolLuna intentionally: small enough to feel personal, established enough to provide support, and flexible enough that clinicians can actually have a life outside of their work.

If you’re looking for a practice where you can have autonomy in your clinical work, receive referrals, work alongside other thoughtful therapists, and be part of something that is still growing, you’d be a good fit here.

Current Opportunity

EMDR Therapist

Location: Charlotte, NC + virtual sessions throughout North Carolina
Practice setting: Hybrid — Dilworth office + virtual
Employment type: 1099 / Independent Contractor

Compensation

  • Associate licensed clinicians: 60% of collected session fees
  • Fully licensed clinicians: 65% of collected session fees
  • Typical session compensation: approximately $90–$140 per session, depending on session rate and licensure
  • Opportunities for compensation growth based on tenure, caseload, and experience
  • Opportunity to increase your own session rates as your experience and practice develop

I’m currently looking for a licensed or associate-level therapist with EMDR training to join SolLuna as the practice continues to grow.

This role is a good fit for someone who enjoys working with adults, is interested in trauma and relational work, and wants the autonomy of private practice with more support, referrals, and connection than you would have working entirely on your own.

I’m looking for someone who is warm, thoughtful, curious, and comfortable working independently while also valuing collaboration and consultation.

The Role

At SolLuna, you get to focus on being a therapist.

You won’t be expected to become a full-time marketer, practice manager, biller, scheduler, and therapist all at once.

One of the reasons people join a group practice is to have some of the infrastructure of a larger practice while still maintaining the autonomy of private practice. That’s what I’m working to create at SolLuna.

Clinical autonomy matters here.

You are the therapist. I trust clinicians to use their judgment, develop their own therapeutic relationships, and practice from their training and clinical expertise.

You won’t be starting from zero.

SolLuna has an established referral network and is continuing to grow its visibility in the Charlotte community and online.

The goal is to provide clinicians with consistent referral and caseload support so you’re not spending all of your time trying to find your next client.

At the same time, you’re encouraged to develop your own professional network and areas of specialty as your career grows.

Growth without burnout.

I care about building a practice where therapists can have a full caseload without having their entire life revolve around their caseload.

That means flexibility, reasonable expectations, and continued attention to how the practice functions as it grows.

What You Won’t Have to Do

You won’t need to build an entire private practice from scratch.

SolLuna provides support with:

  • Practice operations
  • Billing
  • Insurance credentialing, as applicable
  • Scheduling and practice systems
  • Electronic health record and HIPAA-compliant systems
  • Referral generation and marketing support
  • Office space and practice infrastructure

The goal is simple: you get to spend more of your time doing clinical work and less of it managing the business behind the clinical work.

The Space

SolLuna’s office is located in the heart of Dilworth, inside a historic old house with plenty of character and charm. We’re within walking distance of local coffee shops, restaurants, and neighborhood favorites.

Your office is bright, cozy, and filled with natural sunlight, and the practice is located right next to Freedom Park.

Which means, when appropriate for the client and the work, there is also the option for walk-and-talk sessions.

It’s a space that feels more like a beautiful home than a traditional medical office, because I wanted both clients and clinicians to actually enjoy being here.

What SolLuna Provides

  • 60% compensation for associate-level clinicians
  • 65% compensation for fully licensed clinicians
  • Opportunities for compensation growth based on tenure, caseload, and experience
  • Opportunity to increase your own session rates as your experience and practice develop
  • Referral and caseload support
  • Hybrid flexibility with in-person sessions in Dilworth and virtual sessions throughout North Carolina
  • A beautiful, fully furnished office in a historic home next to Freedom Park
  • Opportunity for walk-and-talk sessions
  • Administrative support with practice operations
  • Modern Electronic health record and HIPAA-compliant systems
  • Billing support
  • Insurance credentialing support, as applicable
  • Opportunities for clinical consultation and collaboration
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth
  • A small-practice environment where your ideas and feedback actually matter
  • The opportunity to grow with the practice as additional clinicians and administrative support are added

Who I’m Looking For

I’m especially interested in therapists who are thoughtful clinicians and genuinely enjoy the work of therapy.

You may be a great fit if you:

  • Are independently or associate level licensed in North Carolina as an LCSW/A, LCMHC/A, LMFT, psychologist, or equivalent
  • Have EMDR training or certification
  • Experience or interest in IFS therapy
  • Have a trauma-informed approach to clinical work
  • Are interested in anxiety, relational trauma, perfectionism, self-worth, or relationship concerns
  • Enjoy working with adults and particularly women
  • Value ethical, thoughtful, client-centered care
  • Are comfortable working independently while also being open to consultation and collaboration
  • Want to be part of a growing practice rather than simply rent office space
  • Have a genuine interest in building a clinical caseload within a small group practice
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred

The Kind of Colleague Who Thrives Here

You’re thoughtful and emotionally attuned.

You care about doing excellent clinical work and are curious about continuing to grow as a therapist.

You’re comfortable asking questions, receiving feedback, and talking through a difficult case with a colleague.

You value autonomy but don’t want to practice in isolation.

You’re also dependable, communicate clearly, and understand that being part of a small practice means your colleagues and clients are counting on you.
